MWC 2022 – Samsung Galaxy Book2 Series: Computers to Increase Productivity

On the occasion of the Mobile World Show, the South Korean giant has unveiled its new range of laptops. Strong, thin and lightweight, they focus above all on productivity. Let’s discover these new models.

Already eager to reclaim the somewhat neglected PC market in Europe, Samsung launched the first generation Galaxy Book in the spring of 2021. Now, the manufacturer is revamping its range and betting even more on performance, which is already standard on last year’s models.
The entire series runs on Windows 11 and is powered by 12th generation Intel Core processors.

According to Samsung, it fully integrates with the Galaxy ecosystem, ensuring synchronization and interoperability between devices. The user experience will therefore be “more complete, simple and intuitive”. During the first use, it is enough to authenticate with the Samsung account to find the data of other terminals (tablet or Galaxy smartphone). Going forward, it is possible to migrate data and settings from your old Windows 11 PC to Galaxy Book2 using the Galaxy Book Smart Switch software.
This new generation of laptops comes in four models including two Standard and two Pro models, all compatible with Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1.

Galaxy Book2 Pro and Pro 360: Ultra-fast portable devices for professionals

Unsurprisingly, the Pro models go even further in terms of productivity. First of all, Samsung offers Windows 11 Pro as an option, designed more for this category of users.

In parallel, the Galaxy Book2 Pro is equipped with an FHD webcam with studio mode that allows the picture to be automatically framed on the subject, so that it remains at the angle of the camera even when you move. Compared to the first Galaxy books, new filters and background effects are also appearing for the first time.
And since video calls are now becoming popular with the development of remote work, Samsung has opted for two-way noise reduction thanks to artificial intelligence in the Galaxy Book2 Pro, so that conversations are clearer. At the same time, these new computers benefit from AKG audio that is compatible with Dolby Atmos.
Particularly essential when traveling, autonomy promises convenience with around 21 hours of use, according to Samsung. The battery also benefits from 65W fast charging.
These models, especially thin and light, are easily transportable. For example, the 13.3-inch Galaxy Book2 Pro is only 11.2 mm thick and weighs 870 grams.

Such a design does not necessarily entail significant concessions in terms of equipment. Both the Pro and Pro 360 are equipped with a 13.3-inch or 15.6-inch AMOLED display. The 360 version has a 2-in-1 design and thus can be converted into a tablet by rotating the screen, which therefore has the privacy of touch. Performance-wise, they both have an Intel Core i7 processor along with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. An option with Intel Core i5 and 8GB of RAM is available for the 13.3-inch Pro.
The Pro 360 version is marketed with the S Pen.
